The ELLIPSE project is a groundbreaking European endeavor aimed at transforming waste products from various industries into valuable resources. This initiative focuses on the utilization of slaughterhouse waste and paper and pulp sludge to produce cost-effective polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs). These PHAs can then be used in agricultural and personal care applications, leading to an innovative and sustainable approach to waste management and product creation. The ELLIPSE project represents a powerful step forward in the development of a circular bio-based economy.
This project has received funding from the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (JU) under the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101112581. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme and the Bio-based Industries Consortium.
